Specification Information:
Applications:
- A broad spectrum of uses in all commercial, retail, and public buildings. Use in office, school, and medical environments. Small, medium, and large rooms illuminate well with evenly spaced 1X4 modules.
T5 Lamps:
- Linear 28W-T5, 54W-HO-T5, or optional T5; one-, two, or three-lamp cross sections.
T8 Lamps:
- Linear 32W-T8 or optional T8; one-, two, or three lamp cross-sections.
Housings:
- Die formed code grade or optional 20GA cold rolled steel with ample strengthening embossments. End plates securely riveted onto the housing. Snap-in type wireway covers. Socket bars are screwed into housing.
Door frames:
- Heavy gauge flush steel frame has mitered-look corners and contains the specified diffusing media. Hinges down from either side of the housing or may be completely removed. Two positive action cam latches hold the frame closed.
Finish:
- All steel housing parts finished with a white enamel paint providing a reflectivity of 87% or greater.
Diffusers and louvers:
- See ordering data for complete list of available media. Diffusers include both extruded and injection-molded acrylic types with various specified lighting patterns. Louvers include both plastic and aluminum types with various specified cell sizes and configurations.
Optional optical reflectors:
- CAD designed to the corresponding lamping and fabricated from Miro-4 enhanced specular aluminum. Has a 95% reflectivity. (See Series 31-MRT).
Ballasts T5:
- Electronic programmed start, normal light output, high power factor, THD less than 10%. Up to 2-lamps per 28W-T5 ballast, up to 3-lamps per 54W-HO-T5 ballast is standard. Lutron or Advance dimming ballasts as specified. Multi-volt operates a range from 120V- 277V, 50HZ-60HZ.
Ballasts T8:
- Electronic instant start, normal light output, high power factor, THD less that 10%. Up to 3-lamps per ballast is standard. Optional T8 performances: rapid start circuit, high light output, lowwatt. Lutron or Advance dimming ballasts as specified. Multi-volt operates a range from 120V-277V, 50HZ-60HZ.
- A multiple lamp ballast operating the maximum number of lamps is standard. For split circuits and switching specify two-ballast option.
Emergency battery back up:
- Integrated pack ranges from 500- lumen output up to 1400 lumens. Varies with lamp type.
Installations:
- Designed for recessed installation into NEMA Type G lay-in acoustical grid ceiling systems, 1″ grid or 9/16″ fine-line grid. For sheet rock ceilings, NEMA Type F applications, add additional flange kit. Sufficient knockouts are provided on the back and ends for all electrical connections. A quick wiring access plate is provided. Optional single or dual circuit quick wiring power flex.
- Four pullout type grid clips are located in the housing ends to lock over the grid. Four auxiliary suspension points are also provided on the housing ends as an alternate method of securing to the building structure as required by code.
Listing:
- UL and CUL listed 1598 and bears their label. Suitable for dry locations or damp locations with optional UL Damp Label. Union made and labeled.
