Vandal Proof Luminaire

Vandal proof fluorescent luminaire featuring an unbreakable injection molded clear polycarbonate diffuser that completely envelops a heavy-duty steel housing. The diffuser completely seals and protects the housing, lamps, and wiring from external elements and abuse. A set of tamperproof screws locks the diffuser in place.
Designed to withstand severe cases of vandalism and abuse.

Application:

Schools, public housing complexes, parking garages, hospitals, police precincts, recreation facilities, and all other medium to maximum-security locations.

M50VP series:

Standard 9-1/2″ width utilizes all linear T5, HO-T5, and T8 fluorescent lamps. Module lengths of 2ft. and 4ft. are available with a 2-lamp cross-section.

M50VP-N series:

Narrow companion luminaire, 4-13/16″ width, utilizes all linear T5, HO-T5, and T8 fluorescent lamps. Module length of 4ft. is available with 1-lamp cross-section.

Housings:

Fabricated from 20GA. cold rolled steel. Spot-welded together for maximum strength and security. Finished with a high quality white enamel paint after a multi-stage cleansing and a phosphate coating for paint adherence and rust inhibition.

Tamperproof screws:

Specially designed screws hold each diffuser securely in place. Six screws on all 4FT units, four screws on 2FT units. Corresponding screwdriver required and is cataloged. Optional standard type screws available when tamper proofing not needed.

DIffuser:

Fabricated from heavy gauge clear unbreakable polycarbonate material. Treated with ultra-violet inhibitors. Precision designed with sharp outer pyramidal prisms on the bottom surface and outer vertical perimeter ribs along the sides. Provides maximum brightness control and performance.

Ballasts T8:

Electronic instant start, normal light output, high power factor, THD less that 10% most ballast/lamp combinations. Multi-volt operates a range from 120V-277V, 50HZ-60HZ. Optional T8 performances: rapid start circuit, high light output, low-watt.

Ballasts T5:

Electronic programmed start, normal light output, high power factor, THD less than 10% most ballast/lamp combinations. Multi-volt operates a range from 120V-277V, 50HZ-60HZ.

Emergency battery back up:

Integrated pack ranges from 500-lumen output up to 1400 lumens. Test switch and light are internally mounted for secure protection of these components.

Installations:

Ceiling surface mount individually. Sufficient back knockouts provided. Four additional 1/4″ mounting holes for secure anchoring. A surface collar is available for surface conduit entry and surface mounted junction box set-ups.

Listing:

UL and CUL listed 1598 and bears their label. Suitable for dry locations or optional damp locations with UL Damp Label. Union made and labeled.
