Vandal Proof Luminaire

Vandal proof T8 fluorescent luminaire featuring an indestructible 16GA. steel housing, an unbreakable clear polycarbonate prismatic diffuser, and six tamperproof screws.
Designed to withstand severe cases of vandalism and abuse.
One or two-lamp cross sections, T8 linear fluorescent.

Specification Information:

Application:

Schools, public housing complexes, parking garages, hospitals, police precincts, recreation facilities, and all other medium to maximum-security locations.

Length/Lamps:

2FT/17W-T8; 3FT/25W-T8; 4FT/32W-T8.

Housings:

Fabricated from 16GA. (.062″) cold rolled steel. End caps are drawn with a 5/8” flange on three sides to overlap and secure diffuser. Finished with a high quality white powder coating.

Tamperproof screws:

Three specially designed screws hold each end cap securely in place. Corresponding screwdriver required and is cataloged. Optional standard type screws available when tamper proofing not needed.

DIffuser:

Extruded from clear unbreakable polycarbonate material in a .125″ thickness. Treated with ultra-violet inhibitors. Sharp linear prisms along diffuser side panels, evenly spaced conical prisms along the bottom panel. Continuous tongue and groove fit along diffuser edges keeps it secure.

Optional diffuser:

Extruded from clear high impact acrylic-DR material for minimum-security jobs where the use of polycarbonate material may not be desired.

Ballasts T8:

Electronic instant start, normal light output, high power factor, THD less that 10% most ballast/lamp combinations. Multi-volt operates a range from 120V-277V, 50HZ-60HZ. Optional T8 performances: rapid start circuit, high light output, low-watt.

Emergency battery back up:

Integrated pack ranges from 500-lumen output up to 1400 lumens. Test switch and light are internally mounted for secure protection of these components. External mounting available.

Installations:

Surface mount individually, ceiling or wall. Sufficient knockouts and holes for direct attachment to a junction box. Four additional 1/4″ mounting holes for secure anchoring. On request, row mounting, surface conduit entry, and surface mount junction box set-ups available.

Listing:

UL and CUL listed 1598 and bears their label. Suitable for dry locations or optional damp locations with UL Damp Label. Union made and labeled.
