Applications:

Food handling and processing facilities, refrigerated storage, drug and chemical plants. Use in shower areas, parking garages, pedestrian and roadway tunnels, and outdoor public areas.

M501 series:

Standard 7-3/8” width. Linear T5, HO-T5, or T8 fluorescent lamps. Module lengths of 2ft., 4ft., and 8ft. are available with 1-, 2-, or 3-lamp cross-sections. (8ft. to be tandem 4ft. lamps). Module length of 8ft. also available with a 2-lamp cross-section for utilizing 8ft. SL-T8 and HO-T8 lamps.

M501N series:

Narrow companion luminaire, 4-1/2″ width. Linear T5, HO-T5, or T8 fluorescent lamps. Module lengths of 2ft. and 4ft. are available with 1-lamp cross-section.

Diffusers:

PIM type is injection molded from clear unbreakable and UV stabilized polycarbonate material for total freedom from breakage and vandalism. PIM not available on 8ft. modules. AIM type is injection molded from clear impact resistant acrylic material. AIM available on M501 4ft. and 8ft. modules only. Both diffuser types have the same internal rounded linear rib pattern which help to control glare while transmitting maximum light output. Smooth outside surfaces resist dirt accumulation and bacterial growth and allow for easy cleaning.

Housings:

Compression molded in one-piece of non-conductive, non-corrosive, and self-extinguishing 5V-A fiberglass. A poured continuous gasketing permanently bonds and fills perimeter channel where upon latching, the diffuser and housing form a liquid tight seal. Permanently finished in a pearl white color that never needs painting or refinishing.

Latches:

Unbreakable polycarbonate with self-locking feature to stay closed without hardware. Optional tamperproof screws add maximum security against vandalism or unauthorized fixture entry. Stainless steel latches optional.

Heavy gauge steel-wiring tray:

Tethered to housing, contains the ballast, sockets, and all wiring on an easy to handle one piece component. Unique metal locking devise system allows tray to hinge open or lock closed for easy one-person wiring connections. Tray is finished in baked white enamel with minimum reflectivity of 87%.

Optional optical reflectors:

Optional reflectors are CAD designed for optimal reflective performance. Fabricated from Miro-4 enhanced specular aluminum with a 95% reflectivity.

Ballasts:

See Ballast Type under ordering data for complete specs. All ballasts are electronic. Most ballast/lamp combinations have zero degree F low temperature starting. When critical specify low temp. All ballasts operate as multi-volt 120V-277V/50HZ-60HZ. Dedicated voltages upon request.

Emergency battery back-up:

Integrated pack, vented housing, UL damp label only.

Installations:

A 7/8″ hole in each end for surface conduit entry and continuous feeds. Liquid tight plugs supplied. Weatherproof hubs supplied by others. Mount individually or continuous. Optional stainless steel “slide grip” style hanger brackets allow easy mounting without drilling housing. Two top-side embossments contain drill points for job site mounting options. Proper sealing will maintain wet location status.

Listing:

UL and CUL listed 1598 and bears a UL wet location label. IP67 tested per IEC 60529, edition 2.1 and passed. Certified by NSF International. Union made and labeled.
